Operation of repairing of the scars is an aesthetic and plastic surgery to repair the scars caused by external traumas such as previous surgeries, accidents  or scars that occur due to body’s internal physical processes, healed by the immune system but left a tissue mark over the injury which is referred as a “scar”. HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS AFTER SCAR REPAIRING OPERATION?

Pain may be felt in the first postoperative period, but it can be prevented with painkillers. In order to support postoperative tissue repair, the method can be supported by drug treatments. In the application of scar repairing, dressings usually open within the first week. The postoperative tissue correction area begins to become compatible with the surrounding tissues within one month, sensory functions begin in the second month and it may take 1-2 years for the tissue to become fully postoperative. The results of scar treatment vary depending on the genetic structure of the person.

DOES SCAR REPAIRING OPERATION LEAVE SCAR?

One of the most worrisome issues for the patients after the scar repairing operation is the formation of different types of scars on the skin tissue after the surgical procedure performed to interfere with an already formed scar. Since the aim of the operation is to improve the scar tissue as it is, it is tried to improve the existing appearance, although it is not possible to completely remove the incision marks of the surgical procedures. With advanced methods, it is aimed to minimize the likelihood of surgical scars to remain visible, even if scars remain in the most invisible areas of the body as possible.
