WHAT IS FILLING APPLICATION?
Filling is an aesthetic and plastic surgery procedure performed to fill the deformations, loss of volume, sagging, wrinkles and lines experienced in the face and neck area as a sign of aging due to the effect of time and gravity. It is a frequently used method that can provide positive effects without requiring surgical intervention when the patients do not want the effects of aging on their faces aesthetically and they are dissatisfied with the signs of aging and also have aesthetic demands such as shaping and plumping lips. In order to achieve a younger and healthier appearance in the filling application, the lines, which are seen especially in the temples, cheekbone, nose and mouth and which are often repeated by deepening, are filled with the use of various filling materials. The image that the majority of patients wish to achieve aesthetically, is to achieve a rejuvenation that is not understood to be “intervened from the outside” with a “natural” proportional harmony with their own faces.
HOW LONG IS THE HEALING PROCESS AFTER FILLING APPLICATION?
Since filling is a non-surgical procedure, it can be performed in a short time and there is no need for a serious recovery time for the patient. The patient can immediately return to work and social life after filling. It is normal to have very slight swelling and redness in the areas where the applications are performed after the application, and these effects pass within 1-2 days in parallel with the healing process. The effects of the application appear immediately after the application is completed and remain clear for 6 to 10 months. The filler material can be re-applied to the body when the desired effects are reduced or disappeared.
IS FILLING APPLICATION RISKY?
The issues that need to be considered in filling application are the use of qualified and licensed materials, the expertise of plastic and aesthetic surgery physicians, providing hygienic and proper surgical conditions. Since the application is performed with local anesthesia, there are no risks associated with general anesthesia. Information about side effects that may occur after the application and precautions to be taken are given by aesthetic surgery doctor.
